| Legends within Khorvaire tells the tales of the Demon masters banished to the depths of Khyber, and of the lords of the dust’s continued plight to free there masters from this eternal place. However the tales that are told to one and all over the dining table and through the reading of history books, are not entirely correct. The actual facts are a little more misconstrued, in the fact that the demon masters were not banished to the depths of Khyber but infact through the help of powerful magic, were imprisoned in a group of Specially created dragonshards. Once the masters were imprisoned, the dragon shards (all 20) of them were separated and spread throughout the realm of Eberron in a hope that they would not be re-united. Many years have passed and Slith Selqvist, of the Lords of the dust, has somehow managed to find out, about the truth.. Some ideas spring from the fact that he has had access to the vast libraries of old. Some other stories are that slith, was himself visited by a dream, which gave him this information, while most people believe he found one of the special dragonshards, and worked on the idea from there. However the story all end in the same manner, that the lords of the dust have finally found a way to release there demon masters from the imprisonment. As everyone in the realm knows, if the demon masters do manage to break out of there prison, it will shatter the peace that currently resides throughout the land. Can our adventurers, find the shards, and destroy them intime to prevent the lords of the dust from achieving their main goal. No one knows, but the times will be hard, the dangers will be perilous and only the brave will survive to save the world of eberron. | |
