| LARPA is a non-profit organization that exists exclusively to promote Live Roleplaying around the globe by spreading information about Live Roleplaying, as a form of art, education, and entertainment Live Roleplaying is a dynamic art in which multiple participants interact at the same time, to create a story. LARP is something you may have heard called Interactive Literature, Freeform, LRP, Live Action Roleplaying Game, or any similar term. We use the term LARP because it is the most common term in use today. We do not intend to exclude any one type of event. Our focus is on the interactive aspect of games, rather than the rules or setting. So games that involve the interactive creation of a story are the sort that we are primarily working to promote, whether they have item cards, costuming, padded weapons, or none of these. | |
