Beneath an ever-changing sky and the perpetually flowing waters of the ocean's surface, lies Earth's last, untouched… paradise… Protected within these crystalline waters are the remaining descendants of an empire… Hidden in the obscurity of this ocean's depths are the ruins of ancient civilizations, magnificent works of art created neither by man's intellect nor power. Scattered throughout the sandy floor, the timeless reefs, and underwater volcanoes, are millennia-old cities inhabited by mythological 'serpents' and countless species of marine life. It is within these waters that fish and aquatic mammals thrive in the hands of wisdom and intellect… it is within these waters that every individual is born a bearer of some magic power… and it is within these waters that the last descendants of a marine utopia struggle to exist in a rapidly deteriorating world. After the destruction of Atlantis' Guardian countless millennia ago, a plague was born, a disease that swept throughout the waters of the Earth, wiping fish clean of their intellect and powers, causing them to devolve and fall below the stature of man. This plague destroyed cities, stripped all ancient structures of meaning, wiped out this world's underwater history and hurled the ancient specie of the ila into near-extinction. For years this plague has stretched its prying fingers throughout the waters of Earth until all that remained of an ancient civilization, a timeless empire, were the undiscovered waters of… Fantasia… But to add to the frustration and fear mounting upon the backs of every inhabitant of Fantasia, is the solitary and inevitable fact that humans have finally found their world, the heart of Fantasia, the Island of Aquatica. With humans stretching their harmful influence throughout the waters, the inhabitants of Fantasia, most for the first time, meeting their land-dwelling counterparts, are being killed and taken captive. Some are striking back with force, using their powers to slay and detour these foreigners… others are more consumed with stopping the plague, before its hand finally wipes out the last of this millennia-old empire… and yet others give no care but are possessed by a never-quenched desire for… power. Here in Fantasia, there is no hope and everyone in one way or another is just watching and remembering… Watching time go by with the tides and remembering the days that were, in every way, once theirs.
