Description: | |
| We are a local chapter of an organization whose purpose is to allow members to have fun and adventure safely through the games of Live (action) Role Playing Games. The broad theme of our games is medieval fantasy, much like the games Dungeons and Dragons (by TSR/WOTC) and the stories of The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkein. However, while the events of a "table-top" game or even a book can be exciting, it is not nearly as exhilarating as being locked in melee combat with a few of your companions against the powers of evil: undead beasts, demons from foul planes and even dragons! Heck, we'll throw in a really bad city mayor every now and then to keep things a bit normal. But safety is very important. For weapons we use shaped (closed-cell) foam to cover fiberglass rods. This is then covered with cloth to add to the appearance and less the wear on the foam. And at each game is a Safety Officer to help prevent accidents and tend to any that rarely ever occur. | |
