Aboleth Not just content with being underwater the Aboleth prefers to be underground and underwater. Aboleths are incredibly strong and rather smart giant fish monsters. Aboleths have the power to create an illusionary wall and that must work well for them because no one’s going to be suspicious of a wall sitting there in that subterranean lake. Really.
Abyssal Dire Rat It’s all about power. Your humble rat isn’t powerful enough so you get the Dire Rat, and that’s meaner, larger and tougher but still not good enough. Throw in a touch of demonic power from the Abyss and you’ll end up with the Abyssal Dire Rat. Air Elemental Air Elementals are creatures of raw power from the elemental plane of air. Air elementals are typically summoned when a wizard needs a powerful minion that can move quickly or even fly. Trying to breath an air elemental or using one to cool down your soup isn’t recommended.
Air Mephit An air mephit is an imp like creature born from the elemental essence of air. Air mephits are more annoying than little sisters and entertain themselves by blowing the candles out and knocking people’s hats off.

Ankheg Hungry for fresh meat, Ankhegs are 10-foot long burrowing insects. An ankheg’s pincers are formidable weapons, capable of slicing through shields and trees alike. Rather like insurance salesmen, ankhegs prefer to ambush their prey.
Arrowhawk Arrowhawks are scrawny and feathered predators from the elemental plane of air. They have several neat tricks including the ability to lay levitating eggs. Arrowhawks are immune to acid because they encounter so much of it in the elemental plane of air – um?
