Your Monster Name (v2.0)
GameWyrd has a database of over 200 different monsters. We know their name and we know a little about them. Your Monster Name is worked out by comparing your name, or at least the name you give us, against each monster in the database and working out which has the lowest Levenshtein score.
The Levenshtein score is a big name for a simple but effect idea. It measures the distance between two strings (oops, slipping into computer geek talk) by adding 1 for every letter that needs to be changed, added or removed from the first word to reach the second word. The smaller the Levenshtein distance between your name and your monster name the closer the match.
