What's Firefox?

Firefox is a web browser which you can download for free. It's an alternative to Internet Explorer and many people rate it more highly. Firefox is one of those computer programs which an open community of developers work on and so has been designed to easy to add to and customise. GameWyrd's collection of "mouse gesture searches" use one of these customised additions to Firefox and so to use them you must also download and install the Mouse Gesture extension.

What are Mouse Gestures?

Mouse Gestures are commands you send to Firefox by simply using your mouse. For example, with one possible mouse gesture you can go back a page by holding down one mouse button and swiping the mouse to the left. Another possible mouse gesture might return you to your home page whenever you move your mouse in a circle. Mouse gestures are configured so they are not triggered by accident, nevertheless some people find them just too strange. There are many fans of mouse gestures as they let you surf and internet without even having to touch the keyboard (ideal if you dice in one hand and your mouse in the other). Turning the visual effects on often make the mouse gestures easier to use.

How do these RPG site Mouse Gesture searches work?

• Make sure you're using FireFox and the Mouse Gesture extension.
• Click on custom mouse gesture search you want from the list below
• If you have more than one of these mouse gestures installed you will have to give each one a different gesture
• Highlight a word or phrase on a web page you want to search for.
• Mouse gesture around the word (left, down, right) and a new search window automatically opens for you.
• You can then even use a mouse gesture to close that window or return to your reading
